About salicornia
Salicornia, also called samphire or sea asparagus, grows in salty coastal soils. Its crisp green stems taste naturally of the sea and pair perfectly with fish and shellfish.
From harvest to pack
How we handle it
Salicornia is harvested by hand, rinsed and packed cold, so the stems stay crisp and bright green.
Depending on the season, our salicornia comes from our own Dutch cultivation or from selected, certified partner growers abroad. Whatever the origin, every batch is checked against the same 5 Senses quality standard and is fully traceable.
- Cooled straight after harvest
- Checked against one quality standard
- Packed in the Westland
