About thai basil
Thai basil has purple stems, narrow green leaves and a warm aniseed aroma. Unlike sweet basil it holds its flavour when cooked, which makes it a staple in Thai and Vietnamese kitchens.
From harvest to pack
How we handle it
Like all basil, Thai basil is sensitive to cold. We keep it at the right temperature and pack it gently, so the leaves stay glossy and free of black spots.
Depending on the season, our thai basil comes from our own Dutch cultivation or from selected, certified partner growers abroad. Whatever the origin, every batch is checked against the same 5 Senses quality standard and is fully traceable.
- Kept at the right temperature, never too cold
- Checked against one quality standard
- Packed in the Westland
- Fully traceable from grower to shelf
- Available in kg box, flowpack or clamshell
